The Year in Pictures

Happy December! As we reflect on the past year, we’ve put together some pictures (and even a few videos) to capture some of the moments. It was certainly an unusual year, and Bob and I are already looking ahead to 2025, hoping for a calmer and less dramatic time than 2024. Here’s a month-by-month recap that sums up our year. Enjoy, and we’ll see you all in the new year!

January

Mailbox Taken Out

While we were away sking worried about being taken out by snowboarders, our mailbox was taken out by a neighbor's lawn crew! January really did start out with a bang! (watch video)

February

Where Did The Pool Go?

Thrilled about my new listing in Rollingwood until the pool started crumbling into the backyard. One of hundreds of pools built between 2020-2023 in Texas affected by concrete cancer.

Rolling this out again with a new pool in 2025!

March

Actually, It Was My First Rodeo

We went to the Austin Rodeo for the first time, thanks to an invitation from our neighbor. Glad the bucking stopped there! (watch video)

April

Cutest Client of the Year

The expression on the face of Avery at her first Easter Egg Hunt is a good reminder that we all need more JOY in our lives. I hope whatever she found in that egg didn't disappoint her!

Speaking of joy, we also saw the Total Eclipse on April 8th for over 3 minutes, thanks to Bob finding us clear skies over Lake Austin.

May

Cheers to 41 Years

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with the most incredible cosmo I've ever had at J Carvers. Dinner was a gift from our daughter and husband so Bob, after seeing the bill, thought it was the best anniversary we've ever had!

June

Meet Partner Carly Guimaraes

It was meant to be. We both grew up in Seattle, both graduated from Washington State University.  Looking forward to delivering our clients a level of service, energy and experience that won't disappoint

July

Trip of a Lifetime

Magical trip to Ireland was this year's high point for sure. Loved the golf, green landscape and Guinness, but not necessarily in that order. Hoping to return one day to find all those lost balls!

August

Passing of a Patriarch

Conrad Bohn, our beloved neighbor and connection to the family who started our neighborhood in 1932, passed away after 97 incredible years. We planted this pecan tree to honor and thank him and the entire Bohn family for giving us the gift of Rivercrest.

September

Hip Hip Replacement

Bob got a new hip and I got to be his nurse. No fun for either of us. I caught him up on the roof trying to trap another ringtail cat 3 weeks after his surgery. Pray it worked, both the metal trap and the metal hip.

October

Bindi's Lapping This One Up

First time home buyers Laura and RJ brought furry friend Bindi to the closing and she was licking her chops when the keys were handed over to the family's dream home in Crestview!

November

Hats Off (On?) to Lucy

Old friends reunited to celebrate a milestone birthday, complete with golf, a happy hour and a dinner. Lucy was the big winner, but we all felt like winners to be able to play golf after all these years and not letting all our joint replacements stop us!

December

Sally's Still Going Strong

I surprised my mom this month with a visit to Seattle. At 91, she still knows how to put on a party hat. Enjoyed some long overdue sibling time and the trip kicked off the holidays on a high note, one I hope will carry over to 2025, when she turns 92!

Would love to hear what's "canoe" with you!

Have a joy-filled holiday andfantastic New Year!
